Weekend Lane Closures: I-84 in Waterbury

UPDATE NOVEMBER 9: This work has been canceled.

The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that, to facilitate construction work associated with the Route 8/I-84 Interchange (Mixmaster) rehabilitation project in Waterbury, multiple lanes on I-84 Eastbound will need to be closed during daytime hours.

The project team will be placing waterproofing membrane on the rehabilitated bridge decks in preparation for paving. This needs to be completed during daytime hours due to temperature and dewpoint restrictions needed for the membrane to adhere correctly.  Lane closures will start at 10:00PM on Friday and continue throughout the weekend until 6:00AM Monday. Motorists are advised that these lane closures may cause significant traffic delays.

** Please note that the start of this closure can change at any time based on weather or resources. **
