Guiderail Upgrades on State Road 500 In East Hartford
The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that guiderail upgrades will be performed on State Road 500 in East Hartford starting on Monday, November 20, 2023. The project consists of upgrading the guiderail on State Road 500 in East Hartford which are the Governor Street ramps to I-84 east, I-84 west, I-91 north, Route 2 east and Route 2 west.
LANE CLOSURE INFO:
Motorists can expect lane closures on State Road 500 East Hartford. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for installing this guiderail is 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Atlas Fence will be performing this work. No work will be scheduled during the Thanksgiving holiday weekend from 6:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 22 to 6:00 a.m. Monday, November 27, 2023.
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this area. No work will be performed around any scheduled holidays.
