Gas Main Inspection in Norwalk

The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that a gas main inspection operation will require left and right lane closures on Interstate 95 Northbound and Southbound at Exit 15 in Norwalk.

The gas main inspection operation will be performed in Norwalk at the Stuart Avenue overpass on the Northbound and Southbound side of I-95. The night work is scheduled to occur the night of Sunday, January 22, 2023 through the morning of Thursday, January 26, 2023.

 The gas main inspection operation will be performed by Eversource Gas’s contractor B&D General Contracting.

LANE CLOSURE INFO

Motorists can expect left and right lane closures to occur on I-95 Northbound and Southbound in Norwalk. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The night work schedule for this project is as follows:

  • Sunday, January 22, 2023 - Left Lane closed from 9:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. on I-95 Southbound

     

  • Monday, January 23, 2023 – Left Lane closed from 10:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. on I-95 Northbound

     

  • Tuesday, January 24, 2023 – Right Lane closed from 9:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. on I-95 Northbound

     

  • Wednesday, January 25, 2023 – Right Lane closed from 8:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. on I-95 Southbound

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.  Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
