Bridge Deck Joint Repair: I-95 Northbound on the Gold Star Memorial Bridge in New London
The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that a bridge deck joint repair project will be performed on I-95 northbound on the Gold Star Memorial Bridge in New London. The work will begin on Wednesday, November 15 at 7:00 p.m. and conclude on Thursday, November 16, 2023 at 5:00 a.m. It will then continue on Thursday, November 16 at 7:00 p.m. and conclude on Friday, November 17 at 5:00 a.m. This project is included in CTDOT’s Bridge Maintenance Program.
LANE CLOSURE INFO
Motorists can expect the following lane closures on Bridge No. 03819 on I-95 northbound from Exit 83 to Exit 86 on the Gold Star Memorial Bridge (mile points 93.39 – 94.93) in New London:
Wednesday, November 15 from 7:00 p.m. to Thursday, November 16, 2023 until 5:00 a.m.
- two left lane and shoulder closures
Thursday, November 16 from 7:00 p.m. to Friday, November 17, 2023 until 5:00 a.m.
- two right lane and shoulder closures
Crash attenuator vehicles and signing patterns will guide motorists through the work zone. The work schedule for this project is from 7:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m., Wednesday-Friday. Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this area.
