Water Main Pipe Support Replacement in Norwalk
The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that a water main pipe support replacement operation will require the closure of the two left lanes Northbound and one left lane Southbound on Interstate 95 at Exit 16 in Norwalk.
The water main pipe support replacement operation work is scheduled to occur the night of Friday October 21, 2022, through the morning of Sunday October 23, 2022.
The water main pipe support replacement operation will be performed by First District Water Department’s contractor A.J. Penna Construction.
LANE CLOSURE INFO
Motorists can expect Left Lane closures to occur on I-95 Northbound and Southbound in the Town of Norwalk. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The night work schedule for this project is from 11:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. I-95 Southbound and 12:00 a.m. to 5:00 a.m. on I-95 Northbound (Friday night through Sunday morning).
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
