The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing ramp closures on Route 11 in Colchester and Salem will begin on July 25, 2022.
The project consists of resetting catch basin tops, surface patching, crack sealing, application of ultra-thin bonded PMA, installation of pavement markings, and traffic intersection improvements on Route 11 in Salem and Route 153 in Essex.
DOT Project 172-512 was awarded to American Industries Inc. at a cost of $6,900,000.00 and is scheduled to be completed October 17, 2022. This project is administered by the Bureau of Engineering and Construction, Office of Construction, District 2 in Norwich.
LANE CLOSURE INFO
Beginning Monday July 25, 2022, there will be periodic ramp closures on Route 11 Northbound and Southbound from Exits 4 to 6 for milling and paving operations. Closures will take place between 6:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday.
When traveling on Route 11 and a ramp is closed, the next ramp can be used to turn around. Please follow posted detour signs.
