The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that a milling and resurfacing project will be performed on Route 123 in New Canaan.
The project consists of milling and resurfacing 2.96 miles of Route 123 in New Canaan. This project is scheduled to occur Tuesday, June 7, 2022 through Friday July 8, 2022. The milling segment of this project is anticipated to be performed on Tuesday, June 7, 2022, through Thursday, June 16, 2022. The resurfacing segment of this project is anticipated to be performed on Sunday, June 26, 2022 through Friday, July 8, 2022.
No work will be performed from 6 a.m. Friday July 1, 2022 until 8 p.m. Tuesday July 5, 2022, due to the Fourth of July Holiday.
This project is included in the Department of Transportation’s 2022 Vendor Resurfacing Program.
LANE CLOSURE INFO
Motorists can expect lane closures on Route 123 from Silvermine Rd to Michigan Rd. The work schedule for this project is Sunday through Friday from 7 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone.
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
