The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a milling & resurfacing project will be performed on Route 78 in Stonington.
The project consists of milling & resurfacing an 0.86-mile segment of Route 78 in Stonington. The milling segment for this project is scheduled for Monday, April 11, 2022, through Wednesday, April 13, 2022. *The resurfacing segment of this project is anticipated to be performed on Monday, April 18, 2022, through Wednesday, April 20, 2022.
This project is included in the Department of Transportation’s 2022 Vendor Resurfacing Program.
LANE CLOSURE INFO:
Motorists can expect lane closures to occur on Route 78 from Route 2 to the Rhode Island State Line. *One (1) State Trooper and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is from 7:00 a.m. to *5:00 p.m. (Monday – Wednesday).
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
