The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that a milling and resurfacing project will be performed on Route 44 in Putnam.
The project consists of milling and resurfacing a 1.62-mile segment of Route 44 in Putnam. The milling segment for this project is scheduled for Monday, June 6, 2022, through Wednesday, June 8, 2022. The resurfacing segment of this project is anticipated to be performed on Monday, June 20, 2022, through Saturday, June 25, 2022.
This project is included in the Department of Transportation’s 2022 Vendor Resurfacing Program.
LANE CLOSURE INFO:
Motorists can expect lane closures to occur on Route 44 from the Putnam/Pomfret Town Line to Kennedy Drive in Putnam. The regular work schedule for this project is Monday – Friday from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone.
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
