The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that a milling and resurfacing project will be performed on Route 17 in Durham from the North Branford/Durham Town Line to the end of the overpass at Allyns Brook.
The project DOT01710479CN “C” consists of milling and resurfacing a 4.94-mile segment of Route 17 in Durham. This project is scheduled to begin milling by Rafferty on Monday, August 8, 2022 to Thursday, August 18, 2022. The resurfacing segment of this project is anticipated to begin on Tuesday, August 30, 2022 to Friday, September 16, 2022, by Tilcon Inc. No work will be performed from 6 a.m. Friday, September 2, 2022 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, September 6, 2022 because of the Labor Day Holiday.
This project is included in the District 1, Department of Transportation’s 2022 Vendor Resurfacing Program.
LANE CLOSURE INFO
Motorists can expect lane closures on Route 17 in Durham from the North Branford/ Durham Town Line to end of the overpass at Allyns Brook. The regular work schedule for milling will be Sunday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. The work schedule for paving will be Sunday through Friday from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone.
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
