Milling and Paving Project, Route 1 New Haven-East Haven
The project consists of milling and paving resurfacing 2.07 miles of Route 1 in the Town of New Haven-East Haven. This project is scheduled to occur Tuesday, October 11, 2022 through Monday October 24, 2022. The milling segment of this project is anticipated to be performed on Tuesday, October 11, 2022 through Tuesday, October 18, 2022. The resurfacing segment of this project is anticipated to be performed on Tuesday, October 18, 2022 through Monday, October 24, 2022.
No work will be performed from 6:00 am Friday, October 7, 2022, until 8:00 pm Tuesday, October 11, 2022, due to the Columbus Day Holiday.
This project is an addition to the Department of Transportation’s 2022 Vendor Resurfacing Program.
LANE CLOSURE INFO
Motorists can expect lane closures on Route 1 from Townsend Ave. to Forbes Place. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The night work schedule for this project is 7:30 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. (Sunday night through Friday morning)
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
