The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that guiderail upgrades will be performed on Route 4 and 179 in Farmington, Burlington and Canton.
The project consists of upgrading existing wood pole guide rail systems to current standard systems on Route 4 and 179 at various intersections from the junction of Route 4 and Route 177 to Service Route 565. The upgrades are scheduled to begin about Monday, October 10, 2022 and continue to December 5, 2022.
LANE CLOSURE INFO
Motorists can expect lane closures on Routes 179. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (Monday – Friday).
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
