The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that emergency drainage repairs will be performed on Route 45 in Washington. The project consists of repairing the failed drainage structure on Route 45. Work is scheduled to being Wednesday March 30, 2022, and is expected to be completed by Wednesday, April 13, 2022.
This project is included in the Department of Transportation’s 2021 Vendor Resurfacing Program.

East Shore Road will be closed to traffic during working hours of 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Detours will be in place and will be Route 202 to Main Street to Route 45.
Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is Monday through Friday between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m.
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
