  The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that roadway and shoulder repairs will be performed on Route 15 southbound in New Canaan. The repairs are scheduled to be performed beginning the evening of Monday, October 4, 2021, and continue through the morning of Saturday, October 23, 2021.

• 9/29/2021 Scheduled Nighttime Closure of Route 8 Southbound in Waterbury

  The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing the scheduled closure of Route 8 southbound in Waterbury, October 6 through October 8, 2021, between the hours of 9 PM and 6 AM to facilitate final line striping activities.

• 9/29/2021 Scheduled Lane Closures on I-95 over Lake Saltonstall in East Haven

  The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing a single lane closure on Interstate 95 over Lake Saltonstall in East Haven beginning on October 8, 2021. The lane closure is necessary to facilitate construction activities associated with the rehabilitating the existing bridge and roadway over Lake Saltonstall.

• 9/29/2021 Public Information Meeting Concerning Proposed Replacement of Bridge 01120 Carrying Route 74 over the Skungamaug River in Tolland

  The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a virtual public information meeting concerning the proposed replacement of Bridge 01120 carrying Route 74 over the Skungamaug River, in Tolland, will occur on Monday, October 18, 2021 at 7:00 p.m. The meeting will be live streamed via Microsoft Teams Live Event and YouTube Live. A Question and Answer (Q&A) session will immediately follow the presentation, which will be recorded.   The Department of Transportation (Department) will conduct a virtual public information meeting concerning the proposed replacement of Bridge 06129 carrying Napco Drive over the Pequabuck River in Plymouth, on Tuesday, November 9, 2021. • 9/29/2021 Replacement of Overhead Signs and Supports on Route 8 Northbound in Bridgeport with Scheduled Intermittent Full Road Closures

  The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing the replacement of overhead signs and supports on Route 8 northbound in Bridgeport. Installation activities from October 4, 2021, to October 7, 2021, with temporary full road closures for up to 15 minutes between 12 AM and 6 AM will occur.

  The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a bridge maintenance activity will be performed on Route 15 north in North Haven and Hamden.

• 9/27/2021 Milling and Resurfacing Project on Route 272 in Norfolk

  The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a milling and resurfacing project will be performed on Route 272 from Route 44 to Bruey Road in Norfolk.

• 9/23/2021 Scheduled One-Year Detour of Sigourney Street Traffic in Hartford beginning September 27, 2021

  The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing the scheduled detour of Sigourney Street traffic between the I-84 Exit 47 westbound off-ramp and I-84 eastbound on-ramp beginning September 27, 2021. The detour will remain in place for approximately one year and is necessary to facilitate ongoing bridge rehabilitation activities.

• 9/23/2021 Nighttime Bridge Deck Repairs in Danbury

  The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that nighttime bridge deck repairs will take place on the I-84 eastbound Exit 3 on-ramp to Route 7 in Danbury. The work is scheduled to occur from Tuesday, October 12, 2021, to Thursday, October 14, 2021, between the hours of 10:30 p.m. and ​4:00 a.m.

• 9/22/2021 Scheduled Surveying Activity on Route 15 (Wilbur Cross Parkway) Northbound in North Haven at Exit 62

  The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a surveying operation will be performed on Route 15 (Wilbur Cross Parkway) northbound at Exit 62 Dixwell Avenue in North Haven on Saturday, September 25, and Saturday, October 2, 2021.

• 9/22/2021 Traffic Signal Upgrades on Route 5/15 in Meriden and Berlin

  The Connecticut Department of Transportation’s (Department) Office of Engineering is developing plans to upgrade the existing traffic signal system along Route 5/15. The purpose of the project is to replace the existing traffic signal system with a closed loop traffic signal system (CTSS) with connected vehicle (CV) technology from North Broad Street to the Brickyard Plaza driveway in Meriden and Berlin. The project will also include adaptive traffic signal control and automated traffic signal performance measures.

• 9/22/2021 Update for Construction Detour on Route 140 in Ellington for Bridge Work

  The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that the current detour for the section of Route 140 (Crystal Lake Road) that takes Route 30 (Stafford Road) to the intersection of Webster will be ending October 30, 2021.

• 9/22/2021 Rehabilitation of Bridge 00327 Carrying Route 1 Over the Housatonic River in Milford and Stratford

  The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing the start of the construction project to rehabilitate Bridge 00327 carrying Route 1 over the Housatonic River in Milford and Stratford.
