Scheduled Traffic Lane Shift on I-84 Eastbound Between Exits 19 and 21 in Waterbury

The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing a scheduled traffic lane shift on I-84 eastbound between Exits 19 and 21 in Waterbury to facilitate construction work associated with the Route 8/I-84 Interchange (Mixmaster) rehabilitation project. The lanes will be shifted to the left starting Monday, June 21, 2021.

Motorists should also be aware that Exit 31 (Route 8 southbound to I-84 eastbound will no longer have a dedicated lane separated by barrier. Motorists will be required to merge directly with I-84 eastbound traffic.
