Milling and Resurfacing Project on Route 81 in Haddam
The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a milling and resurfacing project will be performed on Route 81 in Haddam.
The project consists of milling and resurfacing a 5.70-mile segment of Route 81 in Haddam. The milling portion of the project is scheduled for Friday, October 1, 2021, through Friday, October 15, 2021. The resurfacing portion of the project is anticipated to be performed on Sunday, October 17, 2021, through Tuesday, October 26, 2021.
This project is included in the Department of Transportation’s 2021 Vendor Resurfacing Program.
Motorists can expect lane closures to occur on Route 81 from the Haddam/Killingworth town line to Route 154 in Haddam. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (Sunday – Saturday).
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to remain alert, drive cautiously, and to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
