Milling and Resurfacing Project on Route 45 in Washington and Warren

The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a milling and resurfacing project will be performed on Route 45 in Washington and Warren.

The project consists of milling and resurfacing a 5.67-mile segment of Route 45 from Route 202 to 0.26 miles north of the north junction of Route 341. The milling portion of the project is scheduled to occur from Wednesday, May 19, 2021, to Wednesday, June 2, 2021. The resurfacing portion of the project is scheduled to occur from Monday, June 7, 2021, to Monday June 21, 2021.

No work performed on the day before or the day after the Memorial Day Holiday.

This project is included in the Department of Transportation’s 2021 Vendor Resurfacing Program.

Motorists can expect delays and one lane alternating traffic. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is 7:00 am to 4:00 pm. (Monday through Friday).

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to remain alert, drive cautiously, and to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
