Metal Beam Guide Rail Upgrade Project on Route 39 in Sherman
The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a metal beam guide rail upgrade project will be performed on Route 39 in Sherman. The project consists of upgrading existing wood pole guide rail systems to current standard systems on Route 39 at various intersections between Route 37 and the New Fairfield town line. Work is scheduled to begin on or about Monday, March 22, 2021, and continue through Friday, May 14, 2021.
Motorists can expect lane closures on Route 39, Monday through Friday, between the hours of 8 AM and 4 PM. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone.
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to remain alert, drive cautiously, and to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
