Guiderail Upgrades on I-84 in Willington and Ashford
The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that guiderail upgrades will be performed on I-84 in Willington and Ashford.
The project consists of upgrading guiderail on the I-84 eastbound and westbound median in Willington and Ashford. This work is scheduled to occur on Wednesday, October 6, 2021, to Tuesday, November 30, 2021. No work will be performed the day before or after the Columbus Day Holiday and the Thanksgiving Day Holiday.
Motorists can expect lane closures on I-84 eastbound and westbound in Willington and Ashford from the Willington Rest Areas to Exit 72. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The work schedule for installing this guiderail is 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to remain alert, drive cautiously, and to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
