Bridge Repairs on the Route 5 On-Ramp to I-84 Westbound in East Hartford
The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a bridge maintenance project will be performed on the Route 5 on-ramp to I-84 westbound in East Hartford. Work is scheduled to occur on Monday, May 10, 2021, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Motorists can expect a ramp closure on Route 5 northbound between Exit 58-56 in East Hartford. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through a detour from Route 5 to Connecticut Boulevard.
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to remain alert, drive cautiously, and to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
