  The Connecticut Department of Transportation (Department) will conduct a public information meeting concerning the proposed rehabilitation of Bridge 04528 which carries Moosehorn Road over Moosehorn Brook in Granby, on Thursday, September 10, 2020.   The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing the replacement of Bridge 06695 which carries Ruote 123 (Smith Ridge Road) over Rose Brook in New Canaan.

• 8/31/2020 Pavement Preservation Project for I-84 in Willington, Ashford, and Union

  The Connecticut Department of Transportation’s (Department) Office of Engineering is developing plans to rehabilitate the pavement on Interstate 84 in both the eastbound and westbound directions in Willington, Ashford, and Union between mile markers 85.56 (CT Route 32) and 97.90 (Massachusetts State Line).

• 8/30/2020 Centerline rumble strip to be added on Route 83 in Ellington

  The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing the nighttime installation of a centerline rumble strip on Route 83 in Ellington on Friday, September 11, 2020.

• 8/27/2020 Traffic Shift Scheduled for I-84 Westbound on the Rochambeau Bridge in Newtown and Southbury

  The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing the scheduled shift of I-84 westbound traffic on the Rochambeau Bridge in Newtown and Southbury. During the evening of Wednesday, September 2, 2020, westbound traffic on I-84 will be shifted onto the existing eastbound portion of the bridge structure, utilizing crossovers through the existing center median prior to and after the bridge.

• 8/26/2020 Intersection Improvements on Route 140 in Ellington

  The Connecticut Department of Transportation’s (Department) Office of Engineering is developing plans to make intersection improvements on Route 140 at Newell Hill Road and Burbank Road in Ellington.

• 8/25/2020 Scheduled I-84 Ramp Closures in Newtown

  The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing a four-night scheduled ramp closure on I-84 WB in Newtown at Exit 9, August 30, through September 3rd, 2020. The Exit 9 Ramp will be closed each night, beginning at 8:00 PM, and will reopen at 5:00 AM the following morning. The closure and detour are necessary to facilitate construction/safety improvement activities. All work is weather permitting.

• 8/25/2020 Route 146 Seawall Rehabilitation in Branford

  The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that the seawall replacement project on Route 146 (Limewood Avenue) between Sybil Avenue and Crouch Road in Branford, will begin on September 8, 2020.

• 8/25/2020 Heroes Tunnel Concrete Liner Assessment in Woodbridge, Hamden, and New Haven on Route 15

  The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that nighttime work will be performed on Route 15 (Wilbur Cross Parkway) in the Heroes Tunnel, with nightly lane closures in each direction beginning on September 9th, 2020. Work hours will be Sunday through Thursday from 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m., Friday from 10:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m., and Saturday from 10:00 p.m. to 9:00 a.m.

• 8/24/2020 Nighttime Structural Steel Repairs on Interstate 95 Southbound in Westport

  The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that as part of its regular bridge maintenance project structural steel repairs will be performed at night on Interstate 95 Southbound, Bridge No. 00072 in Westport.

• 8/24/2020 Nighttime Bridge Maintenance on Interstate 91 in New Haven

  The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that as part of its regular bridge maintenance project, asphaltic plug-joints will be installed at night on Interstate 91 to the Interstate 95 Southbound ramp in New Haven.

• 8/20/2020 Replacement of Highway Signs and Sign Supports on Limited Access Portions of Routes 2, 3, 11, and 17, Including Revisions to Mileage-Based Exit Numbering

  The Department of Transportation (Department) is developing plans to replace signs and sign supports along Route 2, Route 3, Route 11, Route 17, including associated on-ramps and off-ramps, including revisions to mileage-based exit numbering. The new signs and sign supports will be installed in accordance with the latest federal and state standards and guidelines. The types of signs that will be replaced include, but are not limited to, large overhead and side mounted Guide signs and smaller signs such as Mile Markers, Exit Gore signs, Speed Limit signs, Merge signs, and Route Confirmation signs.

• 8/19/2020 Scheduled Closure and Detour of of Route 130 (Stratford Avenue) in Bridgeport for Bridge Repair and Bridge Maintenance Activity

  The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing the scheduled closure and detour of Route 130 (Stratford Avenue) in Bridgeport to facilitate repairs and maintenance activities on Bridge 03637 (Yellow Mill Drawbridge) carrying Route 130 in Bridgeport. Work is scheduled to take place from Monday, August 24, through Friday, August 28, 2020, between the hours of 9 AM and 3 PM each day. During the work hours, Route 130 will be closed and traffic will be detoured.
