Scheduled Six-Week Closure and Detour of Route 319 in Stafford for Construction Activities
The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing the scheduled closure and detour of Route 319 in Stafford from September 21, through October 30, 2020. The closure is necessary to facilitate roadway reconstruction activities, including installation of new drainage, realignment of the roadway, and reconstruction of vertical grades to improve sight lines on Route 319 (Orcuttville Road) between Route 32 and Route 190 in Stafford.

Scheduled Closure of Exit 9 Ramps on I-84 Westbound in Newtown
The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing a scheduled five-night closure of the I-84 westbound Exit 9 on and off-ramps in Newtown from September 13, to September 17, 2020. The Exit 9 Ramp will be closed each night, beginning at 8:00 PM, and will reopen at 5:00 AM the following morning. The closure and detour are necessary to facilitate ongoing construction and safety improvement activities. All work is weather permitting.

Milling and Paving on Route 349 Expressway and Non-Expressway Sections from I-95 to Shennecossett Road in Groton
The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a nighttime pavement preservation project will be performed on Route 349 northbound and southbound in Groton on the expressway and non-expressway portions, from I-95 to Shennecossett Road. The milling operations will begin on September 14th 2020, with paving operations expected to begin on September 19th 2020.

Construction, Inspection and Maintenance Activities Restricted for Upcoming Labor Day Weekend
The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that there will be no lane closures as a result of maintenance, inspection or construction activities on all interstate and limited access roadways this coming Labor Day weekend from 12pm Friday, September 4th until 9am Tuesday, September 8th. Only work of an emergency nature will be allowed.
