Railroad Crossing Repairs Scheduled on Route 194 (Sullivan Avenue) in South Windsor
The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that railroad crossing repairs will be performed on the Route 194 (Sullivan Avenue) railroad crossing located east of Route 5 (John Fitch Blvd) in South Windsor. The work includes the replacement of the railroad crossing riding surface.

Road Surface Repairs on I-91 and I-691 Exit Ramps in Meriden
The Connecticut Department of Transportation will be performing road surface repairs on I-91 and I-691 in Meriden between Tuesday, October 13, 2020, and Friday, October 16, 2020, between the hours of 9 AM and 3 PM. The work will require momentary and intermittent lane and exit ramp closures.

Scheduled 24-hour closure of I-95 Southbound On-Ramp from Route 349 Northbound (EXIT 3B) in Groton for Paving Operations
The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing the scheduled 24-hour closure of the I-95 southbound on-ramp from Route 349 northbound (Exit 3B) in Groton for paving operations. The closure will begin at 7:00PM on Saturday, October 10, 2020, with the ramp to be fully open to traffic no later than 7:00PM on Sunday, October 11, 2020.

Four-Night Scheduled Ramp Closure on I-84 Westbound in Newtown at Exit 10
The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing a four-night scheduled ramp closure on I-84 westbound in Newtown at Exit 10 from October 5th through October 8th, 2020. The Exit 10 ramps will be closed each night, beginning at 8:00 PM, and will reopen at 5:00 AM the following morning. The closure and detour are necessary to facilitate construction/safety improvement activities. All work is weather permitting.

Four-Night Scheduled Ramp Closure on I-84 Westbound in Newtown at Exit 9
The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing a four-night scheduled ramp closure on I-84 westbound in Newtown at Exit 9 from October 8th through October 12th, 2020. The Exit 9 ramps will be closed each night, beginning at 8:00 PM, and will reopen at 5:00 AM the following morning. The closure and detour are necessary to facilitate construction/safety improvement activities. All work is weather permitting.

Installations and Revisions of Traffic Control Signals in Various Connecticut Towns
The Connecticut Department of Transportation (Department) is developing plans to replace existing traffic control signal equipment with new equipment and install new traffic control signals at existing unsignalized intersections to meet current Department standards at 16 locations in the cities and/or towns of East Hampton, Groton, Lisbon, Mansfield, North Stonington, Old Lyme, Pomfret, Deep River, Stonington, Thompson, and Westbrook.

Installations and Revisions of Traffic Control Signals in Various Connecticut Towns
The Connecticut Department of Transportation (Department) is developing plans to replace existing traffic control signal equipment with new equipment to meet current Department standards at 12 locations in the cities and/or towns of Ellington, Manchester, New Britain, South Windsor, Vernon, and Windsor. At applicable locations, pedestrian control features (countdown pedestrian indications, accessible pushbuttons, sidewalk ramps) will be upgraded in an effort to improve accessibility and pedestrian safety. The Department will coordinate with the respective city/town during the design phase.

Replacement of Bridge 02708 Carrying Route 154 over Plum Bank Creek in Old Saybrook, Including Scheduled Road Closures and Detours
The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that Bridge 02708 carrying Route 154 over Plum Bank Creek in Old Saybrook will be replaced during the remainder of this construction season and the first half of next year’s construction season. Construction activities will require two scheduled road closures – additional details below.

Upgrade and Replacement of Motor Fueling Facility at DOT Garage in Franklin
The Department of Transportation's (Department) Office of Engineering is developing plans for the replacement of the waste water underground storage tank on the site of the existing Department’s garage at 38 Route 32 in Franklin. The purpose of this project is to upgrade the storage tanks to comply with the Department of Energy and Environmental Protection’s regulations.

The Department of Transportation's (Department) Office of Engineering is developing plans for the replacement of the motor fueling facility on the site of the existing Department’s garage at 660 Middlesex Turnpike in Old Saybrook.
