• 10/22/2020 I-91 / Charter Oak Bridge Construction Project Update - CTDOT Announces Ramp-Reopening Almost One-Year Ahead of Schedule

  Today, the Connecticut Department of Transportation announced that the Route 5/15 southbound Exit 87 access ramp in Hartford to I-91 southbound as part of the ongoing I-91 / Charter Oak Bridge “Congestion Buster” project has reopened almost a year ahead of schedule.

  The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a thin surface pavement treatment will be applied on route 58 in Redding, prior to resurfacing in 2021.

• 10/22/2020 Scheduled Closure of Route 75 in Windsor for Rail Crossing Repairs

  The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that railroad crossing repairs will be performed on the Route 75 (Ella T. Grasso Turnpike) railroad crossing located north of North Street in Windsor Locks. Work includes replacement of the railroad crossing riding surface.

  The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing lane and ramp closures to facilitate work activity for the the project to rehabilitate Bridge 00032 which carries I-95 over Metro North Railroad and local roads in Stamford.

• 10/21/2020 Scheduled Short-Term Closures of Interstate 95 on the Pearl Harbor Memorial Bridge (Q-Bridge)

  The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing several upcoming short-term closures of Interstate 95 on the Pearl Harbor Memorial Bridge. Each closure will occur for no more than 15-minute periods on Friday, October 23, 2020, in the southbound direction, and on Saturday, October 24, 2020, in the northbound direction, between the hours of 12 AM and 5 AM.

  The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a milling and resurfacing project will be performed on Route 44 in Pomfret.

• 10/19/2020 Scheduled Weekend Closure of I-84 Westbound Exit 45 Off-Ramp in Hartford

  The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing the scheduled closure of the I-84 westbound Exit 45 off-ramp (Flatbush Avenue) from October 24, 2020, to October 26, 2020, for rehabilitation of bridges 03367 and 03368 carrying I-84 over New Park Ave, Amtrak, CT Fastrak and SR 504. The closure will occur from 6 AM Saturday until 5 AM, Monday morning.

  The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that bridge maintenance will be performed on Bridge 01814 carrying Boom Bridge Road over I-95 in North Stonington.

  The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that bridge maintenance activities will be performed on Bridge 01682 carrying Route 82 over Route 9 in Chester.

• 10/19/2020 Scheduled Closure of Route 130 (Stratford Avenue) in Bridgeport for Bridge Inspection Activities

  The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing the scheduled closure and detour of Route 130 (Stratford Avenue) between Water Street and Route 127 (East Main Street) on Wednesday, October 21, 2020, between the hours of 9 AM and 3 PM, weather permitting. The closure and detour are necessary to facilitate bridge inspection services on the Stratford Avenue moveable bridge.

• 10/19/2020 Pavement Preservation Project on Route 2, I-95 and I-395

  The Connecticut Department of Transportation’s (Department) Office of Engineering is developing plans to rehabilitate the pavement on Route 2, Interstate 95, and Interstate 395.

• 10/16/2020 Revised - Nighttime Thin Surface Pavement Treatment on Route 7 in New Milford

  The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a thin surface pavement treatment (prior to 2021 resurfacing) will be performed on Route 7 in New Milford from the Windmill Diner to Dodd Road. The work is scheduled to occur on Sunday, October 18, 2020, and be completed on Monday October 19, 2020.
