  The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing the installation of a shoulder rumble strip on Route 7 in Brookfield.

• 10/30/2020 Scheduled One-Night Closure of I-84 Westbound Exit 9 Ramps in Newtown

  The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing a one-night scheduled closure of the I-84 westbound Exit 9 ramps in Newtown on Friday, November 6, 2020. The ramps will be closed starting at 8:00 PM and will reopen at 5:00 AM the following morning. The closure and detours are necessary to facilitate construction activities.

  The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that construction activities for the replacement of Bridge 02929, which carries Route 80 over the Deep River, is scheduled to start Monday, November 2, 2020.

  The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that guiderail upgrades will be performed on Route 72 northbound and southbound from .05 miles east of the I-84 Exit 35 access ramp to the merge of Route 9 northbound and southbound in New Britain.

  The Connecticut Department of Transportation’s (Department) Office of Engineering is developing plans to construct an auxiliary lane on I-95 between Exit 6 and Exit 7 in the southbound direction in Stamford. This project also proposes to rehabilitate the existing pavement, rehabilitate bridges and address roadside safety between Bridge 00023 (I-95 over West Avenue) and Bridge 00026 (I-95 over Greenwich Avenue).
