• 4/1/2020 Scheduled Weekday Daytime Lane Closures on Route 15 in Orange at Exit 58

  The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing scheduled weekday daytime lane closures beginning April 6, 2020, on Route 15 north and southbound in Orange to facilitate ongoing construction activities for Interchange 58 improvements at Route 34. The daytime lane closures will be in place for approximately 3 weeks.

• 4/1/2020 Continuation of Work for Wheelers Farms Road Bridge Replacement Project Over Route 796 in Milford

  The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing continuation of construction activity for project 83-264 in Milford for the replacement of Bridge 01446 which carries Wheelers Farms Road over SR796. Construction began last year and is recommencing for the 2020 construction season.

• 3/31/2020 Start of Work for Pavement Preservation Project on Interstate 95 in West Haven and Orange

  The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing the start-up of Project 156-180 in West Haven and Orange on Interstate 95 for the 2020 Construction Season. Traffic lane closures in will begin on Sunday, April 5, 2020.

• 3/31/2020 Rehabilitation of Bridge 06787 and 06788 Carrying Route 207 over Beaver Brook in Franklin

  The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing the start of construction for the rehabilitation of Bridge 06787 and 06788, which carry Route 207 over Beaver Brook in Franklin.

• 3/30/2020 Scheduled Weekday Daytime Lane Closures on Route 1 at Strawberry Hill in Norwalk for Roadway Rehabilitation Activities

  The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing weekday daytime lane closures on Route 1 in Norwalk to facilitate ongoing construction activities for the rehabilitation of the intersection, beginning on Monday, March 30, 2020, for a period of approximately three weeks. Motorists can expect lane closures on Route 1 northbound and southbound, weekdays, between 7 AM and 3 PM.

• 3/30/2020 Scheduled Weekday Daytime Lane Closures on Route 15 (Merritt Parkway) in Westport and Fairfield

  The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing weekday daytime lane closures on Route 15 north and southbound in Westport and Fairfield to facilitate ongoing construction activities for the rehabilitation of this 5-mile segment of the Merritt Parkway, beginning on Monday, March 30, 2020, for a period of approximately three weeks.

• 3/30/2020 Revised Traffic Pattern on Mile Hill Road (SR860) at Queen Street for Culvert Repair in Newtown

  The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a new traffic pattern and roadway line striping are scheduled to occur on Mile Hill Road (SR860) at Queen Street in Newtown on April 1, 2020. The roadway will remain open with one lane in each direction.

• 3/30/2020 Scheduled Weekday Daytime Lane Closures on I-95 in Norwalk for Bridge Rehabilitation Activities

  The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing weekday daytime lane closures on I-95 north and southbound in Norwalk to facilitate ongoing construction activities for the rehabilitation of Bridge 00061, carrying Strawberry Hill Avenue over I-95 in Norwalk, beginning on Monday, March 30, 2020, for a period of approximately three weeks.

• 3/27/2020 Lane Closures for Bridge Inspections March 30 - April 3

  Lane closures will be required for bridge safety inspections and evaluations around Connecticut, March 30 – April 3, 2020, weather permitting. View the complete list and plan ahead. (NB and SB mean northbound and southbound; EB and WB mean eastbound and westbound.)

• 3/27/2020 Scheduled One day closure of Route 66 at the Natchaug River in Windham for Bridge Work

  The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing the scheduled one day closure of Route 66 at the Natchaug River in Windham, on April 8, 2020, from 7 AM to 7 PM. The one day closure is necessary to facilitate ongoing bridge replacement activities. If inclement weather prevents the scheduled closure, and alternative date of April 9, 2020, will be used for the closure. The road closure will be implemented to install new bridge beams.

• 3/26/2020 Nighttime Lane Closures Scheduled on I-395 Northbound and Southbound in Montville and Norwich

  The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing the start of nighttime lane closures on I-395 northbound and southbound in Montville and Norwich beginning on March 29, 2020.

• 3/26/2020 REVISED Pavement Markings in Fairfield and New Haven counties

  The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a pavement-marking project will be performed on various state roadways in Fairfield and New Haven Counties.

• 3/25/2020 Bridge Maintenance on I-91 Southbound structure in Hartford

  The project consists of concrete header repair on (Bridge 1469B) in the left and center lanes to I-91 South Bound structure in Hartford, overnight Wednesday and Thursday, March 24-25, 2020.

• 3/24/2020 Safety Improvements on Route 127 at Evers Street in Bridgeport

  The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a safety improvement project on Route 127 in the vicinity of Evers Street in Bridgeport will begin on or about April 1, 2020. The project involves the realignment of Route 127 in the vicinity of Evers Street.

• 3/23/2020 Culvert Replacements on Route 167 in Farmington

  The Connecticut Department of Transportation’s (Department) Office of Engineering is developing plans to address two hydraulically undersized culverts under Route 167 (West Avon Road near the Lions Club) in Farmington.
