• 4/27/2020 Resurfacing along Route 322 in Southington

  The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a milling and resurfacing project will be performed on Route 322 in Southington beginning Wednesday, May 6, 2020.

• 4/27/2020 Bridge Maintenance on Route 7 in Norwalk

  The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a bridge maintenance project will be performed on Route 7 Northbound and Southbound in Norwalk.

• 4/27/2020 Rehabilitation of Bridge 00980B Carrying I-84 Westbound Ramp to I-91 North in Hartford, Including Intermittent Nighttime Ramp Detour

  The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that bridge repair work on the I-84 westbound ramp to I-91 northbound (over the Connecticut River) in Hartford, is scheduled to begin on Monday, May 4, at 7 PM. An intermittent nighttime detour of the ramp may occur from 7 PM to 6 AM, when necessary to facilitate construction activities.

• 4/27/2020 Upcoming lane closures on I-84 East and West in Hartford on May 9 and 10, 2020

  The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that upcoming left and center lane closures on I-84 east and west between Exit 46 and Exit 48 are scheduled to occur on Saturday, May 9, 2020, beginning at 7 PM and ending by Sunday, May 10, at 6 AM. If necessary, work will resume Sunday May 10, 2020, at 7:00 PM, ending by 5:00 AM on Monday May 11, 2020.

  The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that an asphalt rubber chip sealing project will begin on April 28, 2020, on Route 21 in Putnam/Thompson, Route 49 in North Stonington/Voluntown, Route 89 in Mansfield, Route 163 in Montville/Bozrah, Route 201 in Griswold, and Route 668 in Canterbury.

  The Department of Transportation is announcing a nighttime resurfacing project on Route 25 northbound and southbound in Bridgeport and Trumbull beginning Thursday, May 7, 2020.

  The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a resurfacing project will be performed on I-395 northbound and southbound in Thompson beginning Sunday, May 2, 2020.

• 4/26/2020 Ongoing Weekday Lane Closure on I-91 in New Haven for Bridge Construction Activities

  The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing continued weekday daytime lane closures on I-91 north and southbound in New Haven between Exit 6 and Exit 8, to facilitate ongoing construction activities for the rehabilitation of Bridge 03094 carrying I-91 over Amtrak Railroad.

• 4/26/2020 Scheduled Upcoming Five-Month I-84 Westbound Exit 40 On-Ramp Closure in West Hartford Beginning on Monday, May 11, 2020

  The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing the scheduled upcoming closure of the I-84 westbound Exit 40 on-ramp at Ridgewood Road in West Hartford for a period of approximately five months. The ramp will be closed on May 11, 2020, and reopened on or before October 5, 2020. The closure and detour are necessary to facilitate construction and safety improvements to the I-84 westbound bridge over Ridgewood Road.

• 4/23/2020 Nighttime Resurfacing on I-91 in Cromwell - Detour Required

  The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a nighttime milling and resurfacing project will be performed on I-91 northbound and southbound in Cromwell beginning Sunday, April 26, 2020. A detour will be required.

• 4/23/2020 Lane Closures for Bridge Inspections - April 27 - May1

  Lane closures will be required for bridge safety inspections and evaluations around Connecticut, April 27 – May 1, 2020, weather permitting. View the complete list and plan ahead. (NB and SB mean northbound and southbound; EB and WB mean eastbound and westbound.)

• 4/23/2020 Scheduled Daytime Closure and Detour of Route 109 in Morris on April 28 and 29 for Bridge Construction Activities

  The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing the scheduled daytime closure and detour of Route 109 in Morris to facilitate the final paving operation related to the replacement of Bridge 01309 which carries Route 109 over the Wigwam Reservoir. The closure and detour will occur on Tuesday, April 28, and Wednesday, April 29,2020. The roadway will be reopened to traffic at the end of each work day.

• 4/22/2020 Torrington Bridge, Signs, and Markings Facility

  The Connecticut Department of Transportation's (Department) Office of Engineering is developing plans for construction of a new bridge, signs, and markings maintenance facility on Fowler Avenue in Torrington. The purpose of this project is to replace the existing functionally obsolete bridge and signs and markings maintenance facility at this location.

• 4/22/2020 Safety Improvements Northeastern and Southeastern Connecticut

  The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that nighttime safety improvements will be undertaken on various limited and non-limited access roadways in Northeastern and Southeastern Connecticut beginning Sunday evening, May 3, 2020. Work hours will be 7 p.m. to 5 a.m.

• 4/21/2020 Weekday Detours Scheduled to Facilitate Safety Improvement Project on Route 127 at Evers Street in Bridgeport

  The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that weekday detours associated with safety improvements on Route 127 in the vicinity of Evers Street in Bridgeport will begin on or about April 27, 2020.
