• 5/7/2020 DOT and State Police Launch 'Please Don't Speed' Initiative

  The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) and the Connecticut State Police today announced an initiative using electronic highway signs aimed at getting drivers to slow down during the COVID-19 crisis, which has sharply reduced highway traffic volumes, and, at the same time, resulted in a spike in speeding, as well as extreme and dangerously high speeds.

• 5/7/2020 Scheduled Two-Day Closure of Exit 45, I-84 Westbound Off-Ramp (Flatbush Avenue)

  The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing the scheduled two-day closure of the I-84 westbound Exit 45 off-ramp (Flatbush Avenue) starting May 16, 2020, at 7 AM to May 18, 2020, at 5 AM.

• 5/5/2020 Scheduled Closure and Detour of Exit 58 East and Westbound On-Ramps to I-84 in East Hartford

  The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing the scheduled closure and detour of the Exit 58 eastbound and westbound on-ramps to I-84 in East Hartford (from Roberts Street), for a period of 60 days beginning on May 18, 2020, and ending on or about June 16, 2020.

• 5/5/2020 Nighttime Resurfacing on Route 70 in Cheshire

  The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a nighttime milling and resurfacing project will be performed on Route 70 from the East Junction of Waterbury Road to Mountain Road, Sunday, May 17, through Friday, June 5, 2020.

• 5/5/2020 Resurfacing on State Road 533 in Bolton and Vernon

  The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a milling and resurfacing project will be performed on Route 533 from .03 miles north of Box Mountain Road to Grady Road in Bolton and Vernon – Thursday, May 7, through Wednesday, May 13, 2020.

• 5/3/2020 Nighttime Resurfacing Project on Route 122 in West Haven

  The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a nighttime milling and resurfacing project will be performed on Route 122 in West Haven beginning Thursday, May 7, 2020.

• 5/3/2020 Final Stage of Construction to Begin on Merritt Parkway Improvement Project in Fairfield and Westport

  The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing the commencement of the final stage of construction for the ongoing Merritt Parkway improvement project in Fairfield and Westport. During this stage, northbound and southbound traffic lanes will be placed into final alignment in preparation for final paving overlay.

  The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a nighttime milling and resurfacing project will be performed on Route 150 in Wallingford – Sunday, May 3, through Friday, May 15, 2020.
