    The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a nighttime milling and resurfacing project will be performed on Route 68 in Cheshire and Wallingford beginning Sunday, May 31, 2020.

    The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing the commencement of work for the rehabilitation of Bridge 03295 carrying Route 190 over the Connecticut River and Amtrak in Enfield and Suffield.

  • 5/21/2020 Lane Shifts and Scheduled Four-Month Ramp Closures on Route 8 in Thomaston

    The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing lane shifts on Route 8, the scheduled four-month closure of the Route 8 southbound Exit 38 off-ramp, and scheduled four-month closure of the Route 8 northbound Exit 38 on-ramp. The lane shifts and closures are necessary to facilitate Stage 2 construction activities associated with the rehabilitation of Bridges 03350 and 03351 on Route 8 in Thomaston.

  • 5/21/2020 Scheduled One day closure of Route 66 at the Natchaug River in Windham for Bridge Work

    The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing a one-day, daytime closure of Route 66 at Natchaug River in Windham to facilitate the replacement of Bridge 00490 over the Natchaug River. The closure will occur on Wednesday, June 3, 2020, from 7 AM until 5:30 PM. If circumstances warrant (inclement weather), an alternate date of 6/4/2020 will be allowed with the same hours of closure.

  • 5/20/2020 Resurfacing Project along Route 71 in Meriden and Berlin

    The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a milling and resurfacing project will be performed on a 1.74-mile section of Route 71 from the I-691 overpass in Meriden to the north junction of Butler Street in Berlin, Sunday, May 31, to Thursday, June 11, 2020.

    The Department of Transportation (Department) will conduct a roadside herbicide spraying program from June 1, 2020, through August 31, 2020, along Interstates 84, 91, 95, 384, 395, 691 and all other divided highways and secondary roads in accordance with the Department’s vegetation management guidelines.

SR 528 will be detoured from Route 190 (Main Street) to the intersection of Battle Street and Mountain Road.

    Road work over the Memorial Day weekend -- from 3 p.m. Friday to 9 a.m. Tuesday -- will be restricted to emergency work only.

    The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing the scheduled closure and detour of Route 14 over the Moosup River in Sterling. The closure will begin on June 1, 2020, and will remain in place through August 17, 2020. Route 14, at the intersection of Church Street and Main Street will be detoured.
