• 6/15/2020 Scheduled Weekend Closures and Detours of Route 133 Over the Housatonic River in Bridgewater and Brookfield

  The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing the upcoming scheduled weekend closures and detours of Route 133 over the Housatonic River in Bridgewater and Brookfield. The first closure will begin on Friday, June 19, at 8:00 PM until 5:00 AM, Monday morning, June 21. The second closure will begin on Friday, June 26, at 10:00 PM until 5:00 AM, Monday morning, June 28.

• 6/14/2020 Scheduled Two-Night Closure of Exit 9 Ramps on I-84 Eastbound in Newtown

  The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing a two-night scheduled ramp closure of Exit 9 on and off-ramps on I-84 eastbound in Newtown on June 17 and June 18, 2020. The ramps will be closed each night, beginning at 10:00 PM, and will reopen at 5:00 AM the following morning. The closure and detour are necessary to facilitate construction and safety improvement activities. All work is weather permitting.

• 6/14/2020 Scheduled Two-Night Exit 10 Ramp Closure on I-84 Eastbound in Newtown

  The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing a scheduled two-night closure of the Exit 10 on and off-ramps on I-84 eastbound in Newtown, on June 29 and June 30, 2020. The Exit 10 ramps will be closed each night, beginning at 10:00 PM, and will reopen at 5:00 AM the following morning. The closure and detour are necessary to facilitate construction and safety improvement activities. All work is weather permitting.

• 6/11/2020 Implementation of a Road Diet Roadway Reconfiguration on Route 1 in Fairfield

  The Connecticut Department of Transportation will be hosting a public informational meeting on Wednesday, June 17, 2020, at 7 p.m. regarding a proposed “road diet” (roadway reconfiguration) on Route 1 (Post Road) between Rennell Drive and 250 feet east of North/South Pine Creek Road. A presentation will be given to explain the proposed work followed by a question and answer session. The meeting will be held virtually using a Microsoft Teams Meeting link.

• 6/10/2020 Mixmaster Rehab Requires Lane and Ramp Closures on I-84 Eastbound in Waterbury

  The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing the scheduled closure of I-84 eastbound lanes and the scheduled closure of the Route 8 southbound ramp to I-84 eastbound (Exit 31) to facilitate ongoing construction activities associated with the Route 8/I-84 Interchange (Mixmaster) rehabilitation project in Waterbury.

  The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a milling and resurfacing project will be performed on Route 121 in Milford and Orange – Monday, June 22, through Wednesday July 29, 2020.

• 6/9/2020 Rehabilitation of Rochambeau Bridge Carrying I-84 over the Housatonic River in Newtown and Southbury

  The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing the start of construction activities for the rehabilitation of the Rochambeau Bridge, in Newtown and Southbury, beginning Monday, June 15, 2020.

• 6/9/2020 Resurfacing Project along Route 571 in Berlin - Detour Required

  The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a milling and resurfacing project will be performed on Route 571 from Route 71A (High Road) to Route 9 southbound (Polish Legion of American Veterans Memorial Highway), beginning Wednesday, June 17, 2020.

• 6/9/2020 Scheduled One-Night Closure and Detour of Route 14 over Merrick Brook in Scotland

  The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing the scheduled one-night closure and detour of Route 14 over Merrick Brook in Scotland on June 15, 2020, to facilitate ongoing bridge construction activities. The closure will begin at 7 PM on June 15, 2020 and end at 5 AM on June 16, 2020.

  The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a bridge maintenance project will be performed on I-95 northbound in Westport and Southport, beginning Monday, June 15, 2020.

• 6/7/2020 Nighttime Resurfacing Project Route 6 and State Road 911 in Danbury Bethel and Newtown

  The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a nighttime milling and resurfacing project will be performed on Route 6 and State Road 911 in Danbury, Bethel and Newtown, from Route 25 in Newtown to the I-84 Exit 8 eastbound off ramp in Danbury, June 16-July 21, 2020.

• 6/7/2020 Nighttime Resurfacing Project on Route 571 in Berlin - Detour Required

  The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a nighttime milling and resurfacing project will be performed along a 1.52-mile section of Route 571 from Route 71A (High Road) to Route 9 southbound (Polish Legion of American Veterans Memorial Highway) – Wednesday, June 17 through Wednesday, July 15, 2020.
