  The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) has launched its first episode of “Along the Lines”, a new podcast about public transportation in Connecticut. The podcast series will explore a wide range of topics from the role transit plays in our communities to the past, present and future of Connecticut’s public transportation system.

• 8/13/2020 Pavement Preservation Project on Route 165 in Griswold and Voluntown

  The Connecticut Department of Transportation’s (Department) Office of Engineering is developing plans to rehabilitate the pavement on Route 165 in Griswold and Voluntown. The purpose of this project is to preserve the pavement condition.

• 8/13/2020 Milling and Resurfacing Project on Route 153 in Westbrook

  The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a milling and resurfacing project will be performed on Route 153 in Westbrook.

• 8/13/2020 Scheduled Nighttime Closures of Exit 42 Ramps on the Merritt Parkway in Westport

  The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that final paving activities on the Merritt Parkway Improvement Project will require sporadic nighttime closures of the Exit 42 ramps between the hours of 6:00 PM and 6:00 AM, from August 17, 2020 through August 26, 2020.

  The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing the scheduled closure and detour of Route 57 in Weston from August 16, 2020, to August 29, 2020. The closure is necessary to facilitate construction activities for the rehabilitation of Bridge 06768.

  The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a milling and resurfacing project will be performed on Route 5 in Enfield from the end of the overpass of Route 190 to the Massachusetts state line.

• 8/13/2020 Ramp Closures for Paving Operations in Montville and Norwich on I-395

  The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing scheduled ramp closures in Montville and Norwich to facilitate paving activities on I-395.

• 8/13/2020 Pavement Preservation Project on Route 187 in Windsor and Bloomfield

  The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that daytime and nighttime construction activities will be occurring for a pavement preservation project on Route 187 in of Windsor and Bloomfield, beginning Monday, August 17, 2020.

• 8/13/2020 Milling and Resurfacing Project on Route 1 in Westport and Fairfield

  The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a milling and resurfacing project will be performed on Route 1 in Westport and Fairfield.

• 8/13/2020 Scheduled Ramp Closures and Traffic Shift on I-95 in Norwalk to Facilitate Construction Activities on the Yankee Doodle Bridge

  The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing a scheduled traffic shift and overnight ramp closures for construction activities associated with the rehabilitation of the Yankee Doddle Bridge over the Norwalk River in Norwalk.

  The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a nighttime milling and resurfacing project will be performed on I-84 WB in Vernon, South Windsor and Manchester, beginning Sunday, August 16, 2020.

• 8/13/2020 Bridge Demolition Activity at Strawberry Hill Avenue over I-95 in Norwalk

  The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that demolition activities associated with the rehabilitation of the Strawberry Hill Avenue Bridge over I-95 in Norwalk is scheduled to commence and is anticipated to continue for an extended period. Nighttime lane closures will be necessary on I-95 to facilitate the process.
