The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing a 2-week, continuous (24/7) shoulder and breakdown lane closures on I-91 northbound at the Exit 8 off-ramp in New Haven. The closure is necessary to facilitate construction and repair activities on Bridge 03094, over Amtrak Railroad in New Haven beginning on Monday, June 22, 2020.
The project consists of structural steel repair, beam end repairs, painting and milling, bridge deck repair and paving of the roadway.
DOT Project No. 92 -675 was awarded to Mohawk Northeast, Inc. Construction Corp. at a cost of $4,592,582.00 on January 31, 2019, and is scheduled to be completed on July 17, 2020.
