The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing scheduled nighttime lanes closures on I-95 in Norwalk occurring Monday, October 26, through Friday, October 30, 2020 (weather permitting). During this period, traffic may also be halted for a maximum of 10 minutes on Route I-95 between 12:00 a.m. and 5:00 a.m. These closures are necessary to facilitate structural steel installation activities associated with the ongoing project to rehabilitate Bridge 00061 carrying Strawberry Hill Road over I-95 in Norwalk.
The public in and around this area can expect construction noise resulting from the structural steel installation activities.
The bridge rehabilitation project, DOT Project No. 102-363, was awarded to McNamee Construction Corp. at a cost of $8,129,273.35 on March 22, 2019, and is scheduled to be completed November 27, 2021.
