The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing daytime lane closures on I-91 northbound and southbound in New Haven between Exits 6 and 8, for a period of approximately 4 weeks to facilitate ongoing construction activities for the rehabilitation of Bridge 03094 carrying I-91 over Amtrak Railroad. Motorists can expect lane closures to occur Monday through Sunday between 7 AM and 4 PM.
The project consists structural steel repairs, beam end repairs, painting, bridge deck repairs and milling and paving of the roadway.
DOT Project No. 92 -675 was awarded to Mohawk Northeast, Inc. Construction Corp. at a cost of $4,592,582.00 on January 31, 2019 and is scheduled to be completed on July 17, 2020.
