Scheduled Closure of Route 44 near Route 169 in Pomfret Center
The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing the scheduled closure of Route 44 near the intersection of Route 169 in Pomfret Center, on Wednesday, November 25, 2020, between the hours of 9 AM and 12 PM. The closure is necessary to facilitate the installation of a new pedestrian bridge along the Air Line Trail.
Please follow detour for Rt. 44 East by following Day Rd. to Needles Eye Rd. to the end. Take a right at the end of the road to return to Rt. 44 East. For Westbound Rt. 44 follow detour at Needles Eye Rd. onto Day Rd. South. Take a right at the end of the road to get back to Rt. 44 West. The detour will be clearly marked with signage.
Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
