The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a safety improvement project will be performed on Route 695 northbound and southbound (Governor John Davis Lodge Turnpike) in Killingly. The work involves tree and vegetation removal and is scheduled to occur Monday, November 23, 2020, through Wednesday, December 30, 2020.
No work will be performed on November 25, 26, and 27, 2020, due to the Thanksgiving Day holiday and December 24 and 25, 2020, due to the Christmas holiday.
Motorists can expect left-lane and right-lane closures on Route 695 northbound and southbound (Governor John Davis Lodge Turnpike) from I-395 to Route 6 in Killingly. Two state troopers, three crash attenuator vehicles, a pre-warning vehicle, over-head message board and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The work schedule will be from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (Monday – Friday).
Motorists are advised to remain alert, drive cautiously, and to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
