The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a milling and resurfacing project will be performed on I-395 northbound and southbound in Thompson beginning Monday April 6, 2020. Work hours will be 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The project consists of milling a 6.91 mile segment of I-395 northbound and southbound in Thompson. This project is scheduled to start on Monday, April 6th, 2020, through Wednesday, May 27th, 2020. No work will be performed from 6 a.m. Thursday, April 9, 2020 to 8 p.m. Monday April 13, 2020 (Easter Holiday weekend). Also, from 6 a.m. Friday, May 22, 2020 to 6 a.m. Tuesday, May 26, 2020 (Memorial Day).
This project is included in the Department of Transportation’s 2020 Vendor Resurfacing Program.
LANE CLOSURE INFO:
Motorists can expect lane closures to occur on I-395 northbound and southbound from the Putnam Town Line to the Massachusetts State Line. Two state troopers, crash attenuator vehicles, and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The work schedule for this project is from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
