The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing the start of construction activities for the rehabilitation of Bridge 06768 carrying Route 57 over an unnamed brook in Weston.
Motorists can expect lane restrictions and realignments on Route 57 in the area of Good Hill Road. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedules for this project is 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Additionally, starting on or about July 13, 2020, motorist can expect that Route 57 in Weston will be closed to through-traffic for a period not to exceed fourteen days. Both car and truck detours will be implemented. Additional notification will be provided prior to any closure.
DOT Project No. 0173-0503 was awarded to Dayton Construction Company Inc. at a cost of $1,934,070 on December 12, 2019, and is scheduled to be completed October 9, 2020.
