The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that daytime and nighttime construction activities will be occurring for a pavement preservation project on Route 187 in Windsor and Bloomfield, beginning Monday, August 17, 2020.
The project consists of replacing catch basin tops, replacing bituminous curbing, and milling and paving a 3-mile segment of Route 187 in Windsor and Bloomfield. The project begins .23 miles south of Route 305 (Old Windsor Road) and extends to .16 miles north of Route 189. The catch basin tops will be replaced starting Monday August 17, 2020. The milling and paving portion of the project is anticipated to begin Monday August 31, 2020.
The project is included in the Department of Transportation’s 2020 Pavement Preservation Program.
LANE CLOSURE INFO
Motorists can expect lane closures on Route 187 between the hours of 6:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Nighttime lane closures are anticipated to begin at 6:00 p.m. on Monday August 31, 2020. Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to remain alert, and maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
