The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a milling and resurfacing project will be performed on Route 44 in Pomfret.
The project consists of milling and resurfacing a 0.79-mile segment of Route 44 in Pomfret. The milling segment for this project is scheduled for Tuesday, October 27, 2020, to Wednesday, October 28, 2020. The resurfacing segment of this project is anticipated to be performed on Thursday, October 29, 2020, through Friday, October 30, 2020.
This project is included in the Department of Transportation’s 2020 Vendor Resurfacing Program.
LANE CLOSURE INFO:
Motorists can expect lane closures to occur on Route 44 from Covell Road to the Wolf Den Grange Hall in Pomfret. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (Monday – Wednesday).
Motorists are advised to remain alert, drive cautiously, and to maintain a safe speed when driving in and near the project limits.
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.
