The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that the preliminary work including lane closures is scheduled to start September 25, 2020, weather permitting, for the installation and revision of traffic control signals in Cheshire. Work will be performed at various intersections in Cheshire, at the following locations:
- Intersection # 025-202 Route 10 at Route 40
- Intersection # 025-218 Route 10 at Creamery Road
- Intersection # 025-226 Route 10 at Cornwall Avenue
- 15 Various Intersections on Route 10 – Install State Furnished Controller Cabinets Only
The project consists of replacing the existing traffic signals with new Span Poles and the associated items such as trenching, backfilling, new conduits, video detection, 360 cameras and hand holes to complete the new installations. Also, pedestrian modifications will take place including new sidewalk ramps and pedestrian push button signals.
DOT Project No. 0025-0147 was awarded to The NyConn Corp. at a cost of $906,107.31 on February 4, 2020 and is scheduled to be completed on June 04, 2021..

Lane closures may occur Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM or 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM and Saturday and Sunday from 6:00 PM to 10:00 AM.
