The Connecticut Department of Transportation will be hosting a public informational meeting on Wednesday, June 17, 2020, at 7 p.m. regarding a proposed “road diet” (roadway reconfiguration) on Route 1 (Post Road) between Rennell Drive and 250 feet east of North/South Pine Creek Road. A presentation will be given to explain the proposed work followed by a question and answer session. The meeting will be held virtually using a Microsoft Teams Meeting link.
It is the Department’s policy to keep the public informed and involved when such projects are undertaken. It is important that the community share its concerns with us to assist in the project’s development.
If approved by the Town, it is anticipated that the road diet pavement markings would be implemented during this construction season.
Language assistance may be requested by contacting the Department’s Language Assistance Call Line at (860) 594-2109. Requests should be made at least 5 business days prior to the meeting. Language assistance is provided at no cost to the public and efforts will be made to respond to timely requests for assistance.
Individuals with limited internet access can listen to the meeting by calling +1 (978) 703-6483 and entering the Conference ID when prompted: 143 804 21#. Persons with hearing and/or speech disabilities may dial 711 for Telecommunications Relay Services (TRS).
