The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that bridge maintenance will be performed on Bridge 01814 carrying Boom Bridge Road over I-95 in North Stonington.
The work consists of steel repairs, cleaning and painting, with work scheduled to occur from Friday, October 30, 2020, through approximately Friday, December 11, 2020.
Motorists can expect a various lane closure on I-95 northbound and southbound in North Stonington, northbound from the Route 49 on-ramp to the Exit 93 off-ramp and southbound between the Exit 93 on-ramp to the Exit 92 off-ramp.
Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone.
The regular work schedule for this project is from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
