The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that an asphalt rubber chip seal project will begin on Route 47 in Woodbury from Weekeeppemee Road to the Woodbury/Roxbury town line, and Route 111 in Monroe from 1.32 miles south of Roosevelt Road to 0.44 miles south of East Village Road.
All work is “weather permitting” and is scheduled to start Monday, May 18, 2020, during the daytime hours of 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
The roadway construction will involve existing pavement surface patching and crack sealing; removal and installation of line striping; replacement of catch basin tops, and chip sealing of the existing pavement surface.

The construction will include various lane closures during the daytime hours between 7:00 AM and 4:00 PM as follows:
Work is scheduled to begin in Woodbury on Monday, May 18th and proceed to Monroe. The various surface treatments will be completed at both project sites working between both locations intermittently as work progresses.
All work is weather permitting. Traffic delays can be expected. It is recommended to avoid the area if possible, during the period stated.
Project No. 0174-0437 was awarded to Comer Contracting of Newington, CT on April 03, 2020, at a cost of $1,019,012.5 and is scheduled to be completed in October 15, 2020.
