  he Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that the current road closure and detour in Morris, to facilitate ongoing construction activities related to the replacement of Bridge Number 01309, which carries Route 109 over the Wigwam Reservoir, will continue through October 28, 2019

• 9/17/2019 Public Information Meeting Scheduled for Proposed Roundabout at the Intersection of Fenn Road and Ella Grasso Boulevard in Newington

  The Connecticut Department of Transportation Highway Management Unit will be holding a public information meeting regarding the proposed roundabout at the intersection of Fenn Road and Ella Grasso Boulevard in Newington. The meeting will be held on Tuesday October 15, 2019, in the Newington Senior & Disabled Center Auditorium; 120 Cedar Street, Newington, CT 06111. A design presentation will start at 7:00 p.m. and a question and answer period immediately following.

• 9/17/2019 Access to I-91 Southbound Via Route 5/15 Southbound Exit 87 Scheduled to be Removed for Construction Activities

  The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing the planned long-term removal of access to I-91 southbound via Route 5/15 southbound Exit 87. The scheduled closure will begin on Monday, September 30, 2019, and will remain in effect for approximately two years. Motorists wishing to enter I-91 southbound will be directed to Exit 86. Note that access to Brainard Road from the Route 5/15 southbound Exit 87 off-ramp will remain open.

  The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a nighttime bridge maintenance project will be performed on Route 15 (Wilbur Cross Parkway) northbound and southbound in Hamden, beginning on the evening of Tuesday, September 10, 2019.
