• 10/30/2019 Safety Improvements on Route 9 Southbound in Old Saybrook

  The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a safety improvement project will be performed on Route 9 southbound in Old Saybrook, Wednesday and Thursday, November 6-7, 2019.

• 10/24/2019 Scheduled Ramp Closures at Route 15 North and Southbound Exit 59 for Milling and Paving Operations

  The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing scheduled ramp closures (on and off-ramps) on Route 15 north and southbound at Exit 59. The closures will occur nightly, from October 25-29, 2019, at the following times:

• 10/23/2019 Nighttime Joint and Crack Sealing on Route 15 in Trumbull-Stratford and I-95 in Fairfield

  The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a nighttime joint and crack sealing operation will continue on Route 15 Northbound/Southbound in Trumbull/Stratford and Interstate 95 Northbound in Fairfield through Friday, November 1, 2019.

• 10/23/2019 Scheduled Nightly Ramp Closures on I-84 Westbound in Newtown

  The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing nightly ramp closures on I-84 westbound in Newtown at Exits 9 and 10. The Exit 9 ramps (on and off) will be closed nightly beginning on Monday, November 4, 2019, until Wednesday November 6, 2019. The Exit 10 ramps (on and off) will be closed nightly beginning on Thursday, November 7, 2019, until Monday November 11, 2019. The ramps will be closed each night beginning at 9:00 PM, and will reopen at 5:00 AM the following morning. The closures and detours are necessary to facilitate construction/safety improvement activities and the closures are weather-dependent.

• 10/22/2019 Replacement of Bridge 02540 Carrying Route 85 over Little Brook in Salem

  The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing the start of construction for the replacement of Bridge 02540 carrying Route 85 over Little Brook in Salem.

• 10/22/2019 Scheduled Work Activity for Full Depth Road Reconstruction on Route 32 and Village Hill Road in Willington

  The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing scheduled road work and a detour to facilitate full depth road reconstruction in proximity to and associated with the rehabilitation of Bridge 02259 carrying Route 32 over South Branch Roaring Brook in Willington.

• 10/22/2019 Resurfacing, Bridge Rehabilitation and Safety Improvements Proposed for I-691 in Cheshire, Middlefield, Southington and Meriden

  The Connecticut Department of Transportation’s (Department) Office of Engineering is developing plans for resurfacing, bridge rehabilitation, and safety improvements on I-691 in Cheshire, Middlefield, and Southington and Meriden. The purpose of the project is to provide corridor improvements that bring this section of roadway to current standards.

• 10/22/2019 Scheduled Closure and Detour of Route 1 in East Lyme for Bridge Replacement Activities

  The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing the upcoming scheduled closure and detour of Route 1 in East Lyme between Heritage Road and Lovers Lane, beginning at 8 AM on November 11, 2019, until 8 AM, November 25, 2019. The closure and detour are necessary to facilitate the replacement of Bridge 06676 carrying Route 1 over an Unnamed Brook.

• 10/22/2019 Resurfacing on Route 82 - Town Street - in East Haddam and Lyme

  The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a resurfacing project will continue on Route 82 in East Haddam and Lyme through Friday, October 25, 2019.

• 10/18/2019 Bridge Maintenance on Southbound Q Bridge on I-95 in New Haven

  The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a bridge maintenance project will be performed on the southbound I-95 Pearl Harbor Memorial Bridge (Q Bridge) in New Haven on Tuesday, October 22, 2019.

• 10/18/2019 Bridge Maintenance on Route 72 South in New Britain

  The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a bridge maintenance project will be performed on Rte. 72 South in New Britain on Saturday, October 19, 2019. Work hours will be 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.

• 10/18/2019 Lane Closures for Bridge Inspections - October 20 - 26, 2019

  Lane closures will be required for bridge safety inspections and evaluations around Connecticut, October 20 – 26, 2019, weather permitting. View the complete list and plan ahead. (NB and SB mean northbound and southbound; EB and WB mean eastbound and westbound.)

  The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that nighttime milling and resurfacing will be performed on Route 68 in Wallingford, Sunday, October 20, through Thursday, October 30, 2019.

• 10/18/2019 Nighttime Bridge Maintenance on I-95 between Greenwich and New Haven

  The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a nighttime bridge maintenance project will be performed on I-95 North and South between Greenwich and New Haven, Monday, October 14, through Friday, November 1, 2019.

• 10/18/2019 Nighttime Pavement Markings along Various Routes in Northwest Connecticut

  The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing a nighttime pavement markings project that will continue on various routes in northwest Connecticut through Saturday, November 2, 2019.
