• 8/20/2019 Motorist Reminder - Opening of Temporary Bypass for Continued Rehabilitation Work on the Waterbury Mixmaster

  In association with ongoing rehabilitation activities on the Waterbury Mixmaster, the Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing the scheduled opening of the temporary bypass for Route 8 northbound, on Saturday, August 24, 2019.

• 8/20/2019 Scheduled Nighttime Ramp Closures on Interstate 95 in West Haven and Orange for Milling and Paving Activities

  The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing scheduled ramp closures of Interchange 42 (Sawmill Road) and 43 (First Avenue) on-ramps, on Interstate 95 northbound in West Haven and Orange. The closures are scheduled to take place from Monday, August 26, 2019 to Friday, October 11, 2019, and will occur between the hours of 9:00 PM and 6:00 AM. The closures are necessary to facilitate milling and paving of the ramps.

• 8/20/2019 Scheduled Temporary Closure of Harvard Avenue in Stamford on August 22 and August 23, 2019

  The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that Harvard Avenue in Stamford will be closed temporarily to facilitate the replacement of a damaged fascia beam for Bridge 00022 carrying I-95 northbound over Harvard Avenue. The closure will occur on 2 consecutive nights, Thursday and Friday, August 22 & 23, 2019, from 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. Exit 6 ramps will remain open during the closure. Local motorists will be provided a short detour around the work area.

• 8/15/2019 Public Hearing – Project No. 0080-0128, I-84 Interchange 17 Improvements, Construction of Chase Parkway Extension, and Operational Improvements on Route 63, Route 64, and SR 845 in Middlebury and Waterbury

  The Connecticut Department of Transportation (Department) will conduct a public hearing concerning the proposed I-84 Interchange 17 Improvements, construction of Chase Parkway Extension, and operational improvements on Route 63, Route 64, and SR 845, on Thursday, September 5, 2019 at the Shepardson Community Center, 1172 Whittemore Road, Middlebury, CT 06762. An open forum for individual discussions with Department officials will begin at 6:00 p.m., followed by a formal presentation at 6:30 p.m.

• 8/15/2019 Closure of Route 34 in from Route 111 to Bridge Street

  The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that Route 34 will be closed from Route 111 in Monroe to Route 110 in Shelton for the construction of the Derby Pump Station, Friday, August 16, through Monday, august 19, 2019.

• 8/14/2019 Nighttime Resurfacing along Route 1 - Boston Post Rd - in Milford

  The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a nighttime milling and resurfacing project will be performed on Route 1 in Milford, Sunday, August 18, through Wednesday, September 25, 2019.

• 8/14/2019 Tree Removal along I-291 in Windsor

  The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a tree removal operation will be performed on I-291 eastbound and westbound between Exits 1 and 4 in Windsor, Monday, August 19, through Friday, September 6, 2019.

• 8/13/2019 Motorist Reminder: Route 1 in Stamford over I-95 (Including Two I-95 Ramps) Scheduled to Temporarily Close for the Weekend of August 16, 2019

  The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that the Route 1 (East Main Street) Bridge over I-95 at Exit 9 in Stamford will be temporarily closed to install approach slabs for the newly installed bridge beginning on Friday, August 16, 2019, at 6 PM, until Sunday, August 18, 2019, at 6 PM. In addition, the Exit 9 southbound off-ramp and the Route 1 northbound on-ramp will be also be closed. Both I-95 ramps at Seaside Avenue as well as the Exit 9 northbound off-ramp and northbound on-ramp, will be remain open to motorists throughout the weekend.

  The Connecticut Department of Transportation’s (Department) Office of Engineering is developing plans for the replacement and installation of variable message signs on I-95 and Route 7 in Greenwich, Stamford, Norwalk and Westport.

  The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a nighttime milling and resurfacing project will be performed on a 1.7-mile segment of Route 110 (Main Street) in Stratford, Sunday, August 11, through Thursday, September 5, 2019.

• 8/6/2019 Nighttime Bridge Maintenance along Route 15 in Wallingford and North Haven

  The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a nighttime bridge maintenance project will be performed on the Wilbur Cross Parkway (Route 15) north and south in Wallingford and North Haven, Monday, August 12, through Friday, September 13, 2019.
