West Rocks Road Sidewalk Closure on Bridge Over Route 15 in the City of Norwalk

The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing the start of work on the rehabilitation of the West Rocks Road Bridge over the Merritt Parkway in Norwalk, beginning Tuesday, May 29, 2018. Pedestrian traffic will not be permitted on the on the bridge sidewalk during this project.

Work included in Project No. 102-356 is the demolition and replacement of the existing bridge superstructure.  Some preconstruction work began May 18.

DOT Project no. 0102-0356 was awarded to New England Road, Incorporated at a cost of $4,117,827.00 on 12/29/2017 and was scheduled to be completed by 05/13/2019.  The project is being administered by the Office of Construction in District 3, New Haven.

Foot Traffic will not be permitted over the bridge starting May 29^th.  Please seek an alternate route.  Please follow detour signs for vehicular traffic if required.
