Temporary Weekend Closure of the Route 6/44 Off-Ramp from I-384 Westbound in Bolton Beginning Saturday, April 21, 2018, and Ending on Monday April 23, 2018

The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing the temporary closure of the I-384 westbound Route 6/44 off-ramp.  This closure is necessary to facilitate the installation of a sanitary sewer extension across the Route 6/44 Off-Ramp / Morancey Road in the Town of Bolton.  Detour signs will be poste and access will be provided for local businesses.
Motorists will not be able to use the Rte. 6/44 off-ramp to Morancey between the hours of 6:00 am Saturday, April 21, through 6:00 am Monday, April 23, 2018.
The work is associated with the Charter Oak Greenway Shared Use Path in the towns of Bolton and Manchester.
DETOUR INFORMATION: 
From Coventry heading west on Route 44 and from Bolton/Andover heading west on Route 6, motorists will be directed to follow I-384 WB to the Exit 4 in Manchester, turn right on to Highland Street, take a right at the traffic light (intersection of Highland Street and Spring Street), take a left onto I-384 EB. take Exit 5 from I-384 EB, at the end of the ramp, take a left over the Rte. 85 Bridge (Bolton Center Road) continue on Bolton Center Road and take a right at the intersection of the junction of Rte. 6/44 (Bolton Center Road and Boston Turnpike).  Access to local businesses will be maintained.
DOT Project No. 0012-0096, was awarded to the Guerrera Construction Company Inc. of Oxford, Connecticut on April 18, 2017 at a cost of $ 9,287,991.35 and is scheduled to be completed in November 2018.
