Resurfacing Project on Route 33 in Westport, Including I-95 Exit 17 Northbound and Southbound On and Off Ramps

The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a nighttime milling and resurfacing project will continue on a 1..6 mile segment of  Route 33 in Westport, including Interstate 95 Exit 17 Northbound and Southbound On and Off Ramps, through Thursday, October 18, 2018

DETOUR AND LANE CLOSURE INFO

Interstate 95 Northbound detour will be to use Exit 18, take left then get back on Interstate 95 Southbound to Exit 17 off ramp and onto Route 33.  Interstate 95 Southbound detour will be to use Exit 16 Southbound, take left then get back on Interstate 95 Northbound and take Exit 17 off ramp and onto Route 33.  Interstate 95 Northbound Exit 17 off and on ramps will be closed first, then when the paving is completed the Interstate 95 Southbound Exit 17 off and on will be closed.

Motorists can expect lane closures on Route 136 from Route 136 (Park Street) to US 1 (Post Road East). Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is 8:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. (Sunday through Thursday)

Friday night October 12, 2018 – Hours are 8:30 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.  Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
